Working against a poverty upbringing

Being born into poverty in the early 80's as the third of seven children, I was not aware of the opportunities I had in front of me. I have learned how to use my trauma and obstacles as stepping stones to get me where I am. Growing up I knew I wanted to help people, but I didn't know how because my voice was taken away from me at an early age and that instilled fear inside of me.

Even though this has been a passion of mine for a long time, I did not know where to start and I never had anyone to help me. I did not see any successful people in my surroundings and I didn’t have a clue what overcoming or loving myself meant. My self-esteem was at an all-time low, but the wildest thing about that is, I did not recognize it, until I went to middle school.

I have spent the majority of my life being a loving mother to my 3 intelligent children. From having my innocence taken at the early age of 5, to being a high school dropout to having a baby at 14, I still chose not to give up. My voice was taken and my light was dim in my life, up until my 30’s.

There was no turning around for me, at least that’s how I viewed life for a while. As time went by, I knew my children needed me and in the long run, I learned that I needed myself first. I didn't understand that I wasn't living my life with purpose, but I rose above it and started to focus on myself, which helped me to feel empowered and confident. Self-Love has taught me so many things and I have been able to implement them in my home.

After going back to school at age 18 I finally obtained my high school diploma and a few years later, I received my Associates degree in accounting.  In 2013 I received my license with the State of Arizona to educate families about financial literacy, while helping them to protect their income with Life Insurance.

In 2019, I created a space for women to empower, inspire, and uplift one another. Since then, it has grown to over 1,100 women. The connections I have made with those women have been life changing and so worth it.

During the pandemic, in 2020 I launched my Life Coaching & Consulting business and became the owner of Star Life wellness Group LLC, helping women to choose themselves and live life with purpose. I didn’t know the ins and outs of being a business owner, but I just wanted to start using my voice. Since then, I have been interviewed, featured in a magazine, spoke on panels, been a guest speaker on podcasts, hosted events, became a 2x published author, public speaker, transformed my life for the better, and so much more!

I have provided a free 4 Week Beta Coaching program to women who are not able to afford my coaching program, but want to make a change and difference in their lives. This has brought me relationships with women from all over. I have grown to mentor them and assist them through their personal and business journey.

My mission moving forward is to hold space for women who have endured trauma and are afraid of change. I am creating workshops, seminars, and coaching programs to help them along their journey. It brings me great joy seeing and helping women to see and understand their worth and gain the confidence they need along the way. I am on the mission to become recognized as a national keynote speaker. I want to use my voice for women who have lost their voice and show them how to be their authentic selves and discover their voices. So far, I have helped several women launch their businesses. It has been so rewarding to partner with women who may need some assistance along their journey.

This journey has taught me to be the change I want to see in this world.
